Once your ticket sales have gone live, you’ll want to be kept up-to-date about how they’re going. Obviously, you can get accurate live updates of your sales in your Eventix Dashboard or through the Eventix Insights app (available for iOS and Android), but you may want to view or share these insights among your organisation in other ways. If so, we have just the thing for you.
In this blog, you’ll read about:
Knowing exactly how your ticket sales are going can be a key element in adjusting your marketing efforts, determining procurement and assigning personnel for your events. Whether you’re working with a large or small team, you may want to share your insights with your team by email or in your Slack channels. Check out these Eventix App Library apps created by external developers, and discover new ways to keep both you and your team up to date about your ticket sales.
If you choose to receive a daily recap of your ticket sales by email, you will find an email in your inbox each morning at 8:00. You can set this up to go to multiple emails within your organisation.
"I receive daily updates via e-mail notifications, which are also sent to our director, receptionist and facility manager. This way, everyone constantly knows how things are going with regard to our events, and we can compare the statistics with previous years. This also gives us an idea of how effective certain social media posts have been. To measure is to know."
Janneke Kennis, PR-manager, Overloon War Museum
Our Slack integration allows you to receive a daily update of your ticket sales in a Slack channel of your choice.
In Slack, you could create a separate "pre-sales" channel with your project leaders and marketing staff in it. Every morning, your teams will receive an update on the ticket sales and will be able to draw up plans accordingly. For instance, if you are in charge of recruiting bar staff for the event, it’s important to have an idea of how many attendees there will be. This is exactly what the Event Warehouse does.
“Because we have a lot of different dashboards and therefore lots of different events, it is nice for us to scroll through our daily Slack notifications in the morning, so we can see at a glance if the sales for any of our events are exceeding expectations. This means the heads of each department don’t need to go through every dashboard to see what the current state of affairs is. That's the main reason!”
Chantal van den Akker, Head of Finance, The Event Warehouse
There are other useful things you could do as well. For example, if your marketing team notices that sales for a particular event are beginning to stagnate, they can respond quickly by increasing their promotions.
By activating Weekly E-mail notifications, you’ll receive an up-to-date total view of your ticket sales, straight to your inbox. Every Monday morning at 8:00. This will include a tally of all your ticket sales since that same time the week before. The weekly e-mail notifications will include an overview of the sales for each of your events, as well as per ticket type. You’ll also see what percentage of the available tickets have been sold for each event.
“We started using weekly e-mail notifications when our employer said he had lost track of what was on sale and how many tickets had been sold for each event. Whereas he can find all the information in the Eventix Dashboard, it would be much nicer to just start with an update of the current ticket status every Monday morning. The Monday update also shows the total available tickets, which helps with maintaining perspective.”
Chantal van den Akker, Head of Finance, The Event Warehouse
To activate your preferred method of daily or weekly updates, go to the Eventix App Library and select either the Daily Slack notifications, Daily E-mail notifications or Weekly E-mail notifications. Once you have selected your app, click on ‘Get this app’ on the app’s overview page. Sign in using your Eventix account to link the app to your account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you’re interested in automating processes or customising your ticketing experience, make sure to check out what other apps we have available in the App Library.
There are two other ways to share information about your ticket sales with team members or trusted partners.
When you invite a new member to join your team in your Eventix Dashboard, you can choose to make whether you want them to be a company manager or not. A company manager has full access to your account and can edit anything. If you don’t make them a company manager, they will have a view-only account. View-only accounts can’t make any changes to your company, events, or tickets, but they can see your data and compare demographics.
You can change the privileges your team members have at any point in the ‘Manage users’ menu.
If you want to create a temporary overview of your live ticket sales, you can use the Linkie (live insights) app. With this app, you can create temporary links with a live overview of the sales of your events. The app creates temporary links that will remain valid for 24 hours. These links are perfect for when you're expecting a peak sale and want to make sure that your team and any potential partners know how the sales are going.
